NEWS UPDATE JANUARY 2020

Welcome to the Make It Ealing January digital update a quick round-up of the Christmas activities.

From November 27th to December 24th Make It Ealing rented a cabin at the Ealing Broadway Christmas Market to enable BID levy-paying businesses to showcase and market their business to a broader audience.

In between days when businesses were not using the cabin, the BID office team presented decorate a Christmas bauble, a free fun craft activity for children and adults. We invited participants to make a voluntary contribution to the Log Cabin children's charity in Northfields and raised over £260.
Despite some shocking wet weather, it was an excellent opportunity for businesses to speak to shoppers and be a part of the shopping centre environment.

The decorate a bauble was extremely popular with children who loved playing with the tinsel and stickers and proudly carried their baubles home in their Shop Local Make It Ealing carrier bags. .

 
Small Business Saturday

The BID office celebrated Small Business Saturday with a week-long distribution of Make it Ealing branded, Shop Local canvas tote bags, and recyclable paper carrier bags containing flyers promoting local businesses and their offers. 

We are offering businesses free Shop Local recyclable carrier bags to use while stocks last to maintain the Make It Ealing and Shop Local promotion. If you would like some, please email the BID office or phone 020 3405 0751  
 
Bye Bye Bauble
 

As we say goodbye to the Make It Ealing Christmas bauble on Ealing Green, we congratulate Chris Paxton winner of our selfie /photo of Christmas installations. We loved seeing all the fantastic photographs of the Big Bauble and Christmas trees, and the conversations and pictures they generated on social media. The walkthrough bauble was a big hit with people of all ages.
A profound thank you to – Carluccios, Reineta, Mary's Living & Giving; Yuzu Hair & Beauty; The Drapers Arms; Miniso; Luxx Hair; As Nature Intended & For Arts Sake, who generously contributed to the Christmas Hamper prize. Our winner Chris Paxton was thrilled with the Christmas Hamper and has posted his delight on social media.

Our Christmas wayfaring map has proved to be very popular so we will be uploading different versions on our website in web format for businesses to use in their marketing material free of charge. Please contact the BID office on 0203 405 0751 if you require print files.
