New Business Update 

Bond Street has seen the opening of Bunify, a fusion of American and international cuisine in a delicious brioche roll - fast food with a profound difference!
 

Around town, plenty is going on behind the window vinyls. Dickens Yard will see some significant action at the end of May with the opening of Tian Tian, a world-famous modern Asian grocer, and Polka Kitchen from the incredible Sowa restaurant on High Street. On The Broadway Blank Street, Coffee is getting ready to open its first West London branch, offering affordable coffee without compromising on quality.

The Body Shop is temporarily closed while it goes through a significant refurbishment.
 

It is great to see the refurbishment team is back on site for Picture House in Filmworks, and tweets have been going out for buying memberships to get great value reductions on food and entry prices, so fingers crossed they will be announcing an opening date soon.

Dinosaur Easter Trail
 

The Make It Ealing Dinosaur events on Town Square and Dickens Yard were hugely successful. We recorded a significant spike in footfall and social media, and the feedback was extremely positive about how wonderful it was to come into Ealing Broadway and have family fun.
The Dinosaur Trail of counting eggs painted on shop windows has been well received, with comments highlighting how great it is to discover and explore new businesses in the area.

MIE Intel Group

Followers on the Make It Ealing Intel group on Whats App will be aware that My Local Bobby has finished their term of the pilot scheme. We thank businesses for their positive support and determination to combat shoplifting and distraction theft, which seriously impacts our customers.

We have invited TM Eye, part of the original pilot, back based on feedback. Their role is to target shoplifting and pickpockets specifically and aim to support businesses in tackling crime and discourage prolific and serial offenders.

We know that begging and ASB are nuisances for businesses. However, the police and council are the only officers with legal powers to deal with ASB offences and begging on the street. ASB should always be reported. If you feel threatened, call 999. To make the police aware of less severe incidents, call 101, log the incident on the Met Police website here, or email the local Safer Neighbourhood Police team here.

Businesses can still log ASB incidents on the Make It Ealing Intel Whats app group. We are working very closely with the local SNT team and sharing information to build an informed picture of what is happening in the area.
 
Employee of the Year 
 

The Employee of the Year is still open, so remember to vote for your fantastic staff and colleagues. The first prize in each category is £300 of gift vouchers to spend how you please, £200 and £100 gift vouchers go to second and third place winners respectively. So don't delay. The Coronation bunting is at the printers and will be handed out for you to hang in your business to celebrate this historic event. We have had spectacular entries from various junior schools, and the talent displayed is extraordinary. With the help of Rupa Huq, we have selected over 24 designs for the bunting but will be exhibiting over 50 designs at Open Ealing for the public to enjoy from Thursday, May 4th

Footfall is steadily increasing. Sunday is the quietest day, followed by Monday, which is surprising considering it's a workday. .
