Happy New Year, and good wishes for a successful year ahead. 

Remember, there is no free public transport on New Year's Eve, but there are supposed to be special services running throughout the night. Check the government website here for updates on travel and road closures.

Mark your diaries for a Make It Ealing business networking evening on February 7th 2023, from 6 pm. As well as catching up with your business neighbours, we will launch Employee of the Year, showcase our project achievements, the undercover/ bobby operation and the proposals for 2023-24. The event will be hosted at the fabulous Rayuela Restaurant on Dickens Yard with wine and delicious nibbles. Please make sure you register here for catering purposes.

Business rates revaluation comes into effect on April 1st 2023. Businesses can find their current RV and estimated RV for 2023 on the Government website here. The new valuations were calculated on property rental values from April 1st 2021.

The good news for Retail Hospitality and Leisure is the current discount level of 50% will increase to 75%. Read more here.
 
Alfresco

The weather prediction for 2023 is hotter than 2022, so if you are thinking of going Alfresco, get moving, as the historically low price of £100 for a pavement licence will end in September 2023.

The council website is now updated, so there are no excuses; apply here.
 
Training courses online

We still have some places on our online training courses, which employees can complete in their own time. We will be hosting one-day physical classes early in the New Year for Health & Safety and Food Hygiene. Course dates to be confirmed. Please get in touch if there are specific courses you would like to be on offer.

FREE Action Counters Terrorism (ACT) training is available to businesses in partnership with Highfield eLearning. This certified course is run online and is open to individuals and groups.
