Saturdays in December will be extra special in the Shopping centre. Alongside the daily hot food stalls, there will be visits from Santa and live music from the stage. Remember to share a selfie or two if you visit the carriage bar or when the snow is falling at 4 pm daily.

The commercial property plans for Film works and Dickens Yard show new names coming to Ealing in the New Year. Still no update on Picture House Ealing, but luckily Ealing Project keeps us updated with the latest blockbusters in its three-screen venue, bar and multi-functional community space.

Shopfitting is underway in Dickens Yard for the eagerly awaited Tian Tian, a destination supermarket offering food, drinks and lifestyle products from over 25 Asian countries, including China, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam. We will launch the Employee of the Year awards for nominations to recognise outstanding colleagues and employees. Take the opportunity to talk to the board members and BID staff and catch up on what is happening.

Card recycling must be taped into bundles. Biffa tape should be wrapped around the card, making it more visible for drivers to collect and more difficult for rough sleepers to take apart and scatter over the pavement. The amount of Biffa tape used makes no difference, Biffa charges for every bundle they pick up, not per sticker.

Suppliers may be reducing their waste collection services over the holiday period. If you anticipate needing your regular collections, please get in touch with your waste supplier. For Biffa recycling, contact the BID office.
