We understand The Business and Planning Act 2020 has been amended, extending the date of the legislation that applies to pavement licenses - from 30th September 2022, to 30th September 2023. These changes were brought into effect on 22nd July 2022.

Information on the council website is outdated, but we anticipate the council will consider and implement the recommended fee of £100 per application, expiring on 30th September 2023.

Our undercover team have completed their pilot term, and My Local Bobby has taken over and will be on the ground until Christmas.

They are running the existing Whats App Intel group and will respond similarly but as a visible reactive source of support. The project so far has been well received by businesses. The information sharing and follow-up to incidents by the undercover team resulted in a significant drop in offences.

My Local Bobby's remit is to help reduce the scale of shoplifting and ASB and to work closely with the police by sharing information and data. More details on the My Local Bobby here.
