Businesses are hanging the Make It Ealing Platinum Jubilee bunting, designed in partnership with the children from Christ the Saviour School to celebrate the long bank holiday weekend. The standard of the artwork was so impressive that Pitzhanger Manor is exhibiting all the children's pictures in the library.
Remember it's free to visit on Wednesdays as well as between 10.30 am-12 pm on Sundays.

Due to the incredible interest generated by the job fair in March, there be a repeat event on June 22nd in International House, 7 High Street W5 5DB.

Temporary traffic lights and pedestrian crossings are on the agenda for the next six months as the Crossrail Complementary Measures are completed.

The main features of the works include.

• Removal of bus layby as per the original consultation proposal.
• Bus Stop F outside the station, to be relocated to the approach to the pedestrian crossing.
• The controlled pedestrian crossing has been relocated towards Uxbridge Road by approximately 7m, and widened to 8m.
• The carriageway outside the station remains as 2 through lanes and will be resurfaced.
• Footway opposite the station to be widened and resurfaced;
• Loading spaces / drop off points to be introduced on the footway.

According to credit rating agency Experian, there has been a 154% rise in dog-grooming businesses since 2017. Vegetarian restaurants have more than doubled, and coffee shops and microbreweries have risen by a fifth. The stats for the growth in nail bars and beauty salons are off the wall. The downside for the High Street is a 53% decline in the number of electronics retailers, with travel agencies and bookmakers down by a fifth. It is believed young workers and families are driving these changes as they look to use high streets for services, socialising and experiences rather than shopping for essentials.
