50% discount for Hospitality Retail & Leisure in 2022-23, and 2022's planned annual increase scrapped.

FIFTY YEARS OF MOP-TOPS & PONYTAILS.

After fifty years of cutting hair at Sweeny's Barbers on Bond Street, Graham Leadbetter has laid down his scissors to pursue his passions of travelling and photography. Graham joined the business known as Millers as a young apprentice. In 1980, Millers rebranded as Sweeny's, and Graham took over as owner in 1994. Regular customers will be reassured to know their hair will be in the safe hands of the manager and now owner Majdi Zain Eddin who is already well known by the clientele. We wish you well, Graham, for a well-deserved retirement.

The Really Local Group invites residents and businesses to enter a competition to choose a name for the new multi-use cinema and cultural venue in the old Karma Club site on Ealing Broadway.

Construction is underway, so get your wit and words flowing to create the perfect name for this exciting entertainment and cultural venue to open its doors next Spring.

Send all your suggestions via Twitter @reallylocalgrp by Sunday 21st November. The winner will receive an annual membership complete with free cinema tickets, discounted food and drink, as well as an invitation to the exclusive venue launch party (plus 10 friends).

We have just heard the news that our Christmas decorations have been shipped and are on their way. There is a new attraction on The Green and participation selfie opportunities on Oak Rd. We are introducing digital marketing assets to promote Christmas in Ealing, which businesses can use to promote products & fun.

Ealing Work West offers a free recruitment service to support your business in hiring seasonal or permanent staff and connect you to qualified job-ready Ealing residents in need of work.

BIFFA RECYCLING

We will be delivering Biffa bags and tape for kerbside collection to businesses from 8th November with details of your free business allocation, start date, and how to purchase bags using the Make It Ealing BID discount. You can carry on using your surplus First Mile bags. They are still valid and will be collected. The First Mile 7-day collection schedule is still in operation but will move to specific days on request when the Biffa contract is fully operational.

High Street Spend data gathered from Mastercard does not include Visa or cash spending. The data is broken down into weekday and weekend spending habits, using 2018-19 as the baseline to examine recovery.

Footfall Data

Springboard data from our camera tracking people passing the retail unit Next on Ealing Broadway show footfall is steadily rising. The data illustrates 2019-20 and 2018-19 as the baselines to examine recovery.

Act for Ealing invites residents and businesses to help our favourite artist Alessandra Tortone paint an Eco Mural in Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre.
