Ealing is proving to be a destination of choice for new and expanding businesses. Twelve new companies are currently getting ready or soon to open in the BID area alone. 

The latest statistics show the number of retail start-ups in 2020 had risen 42 per cent year-on-year to 62,245, despite a new record of 36,295 retail closures. 

Currently, food, beauty and education are the most popular growth areas in Ealing. We welcome and look forward to promoting their openings soon.

 
Pavement Dining

Pavement licences are to be extended to September 2022. Save yourself hundreds of pounds on your street trading licence and apply. It is a one-off cost of £100.

The Welcome Back to Shopping Local delivered by the fabulous Alessandra Tortone of Expert Window Art has once again caught the attention of the local media and appeared on many people's Instagram posts. It is a joy to see how Alessandra captures the fun and personality of the businesses and how people respond on social media. See the gallary on Facebook here.
Ealing Summer Festivals

Ealing Summer Festivals are returning with a fantastic expanded programme of events and a brand new website with all the details. This year, the program will include the Ealing Fringe so if you are a local business and want to discuss trading opportunities, contact shona@theeventumbrella.com asap.

Make It Ealing sits on the High Street Task Force created by Ealing council to deliver the initiatives funded by the WBF (Welcome Back Fund) and invites businesses to take part in the borough-wide Love Ealing, Love Local campaign.

Check the Love Ealing, Love Local toolkit to see how you can spark enthusiasm and conversations about your businesses and the benefits of Ealing Broadway. You will find free posters specific to Ealing Broadway and examples of social media posts and resources to promote what your business has to offer the wider Ealing resident community. If you would like some A3 posters, please get in touch with the BID office. 

The Welcome Back Fund is provided by the EU's Regional Development Fund and the UK government.

ULEZ Deadline

Do you make deliveries or commute to Ealing? From October 25th 2021, Ealing will fall inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ), and you will incur a daily charge of £12.50 if your vehicle does not comply with the new regulations. Check out the map here and the legislation here.

The "CPZ'-style consultations are now live and will end on July 23rd.
Feedback from this consultation will decide which LTNs will be made permanent.
